Welcome to the Golden Gate Triathlon Club's Training Program for the Wildflower, Auburn, St George, Vineman 70.3 and Santa Cruz 70.3 Triathlons! Michael Olzinski a coach at purplepatch Fitness will be coaching this program to help you reach your highest goals and ensuring you have fun along the way

The HIT program is intended for our intermediate to experienced athletes, meaning you have completed an Olympic distance event within the past 12-months and it is recommended you have done one half-ironman, although not required. Additionally, you must be in good physical condition and healthy (without injury).

Michael Olzinski is also an experienced coach and triathlete. He has a Master's in Exercise Physiology, certified in nutrition, and track and field. As a Coach for the purplepatch team he has been exposed to some of the very best coaching techniques from all over the world. Involving different training phases, key sessions, recovery workouts, training the mind, eating right, and so much more. He has coached a variety of athletes to accomplish their goals from Alzheimer's patients to pro athletes. He knows how to create a program to help you meet your goals based on what is realistic for your lifestyle.

FAQS
Who is this for? This program is intended for our intermediate to experienced athletes, meaning you have completed an Olympic distance event at least once within the past 12-months. Additionally, you must be in good physical condition and healthy (without injury).

When will I be working out? Training schedules will be updated weekly. As a participant, you'll be able to log-in to a training program and view your workout schedule for the week. 


Where will I be training? Weekend group workouts will be held.  More information regarding training plans will be updated soon. 


What happens if I can't make it to all the workouts? As an experienced athlete, you know the drill, knocking out your workouts is up to you. Keep to the schedule as best you can. You can always contact your coaches for help in planning your week.


Do I have to race? No. Participation is optional. This program is about trying something new, setting goals, and achieving them. Many participants use this program as a way to see if they want to do a future half ironman or Ironman!

 

 

 

The Fine Print: This program is for Golden Gate Triathlon Club members so if you aren't already a member, sign-up instantly online to join GGTC. GGTC Membership gains you access to various club workouts and numerous sponsor discounts. There are no refunds for this program.
