      <title>LDP Training Program | Summer 2026 (Sat, July 04, 2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 26px;"&gt;Welcome to GGTC’s Long Distance Program (LDP)!&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;If you are looking to take the next step in your triathlon training, the Long Distance Training Program may be for you.&amp;nbsp;

&lt;p&gt;Perhaps you have been doing Sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and are looking to move up in distance. Maybe you excel at either swimming, cycling, or running and are looking for a program to refine the other disciplines. Led by coaches, Jaffa Prince and Tim Fleming, the&amp;nbsp;Long Distance Program is designed to give you the skills and experience to successfully complete a 70.3.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This 10-week program will follow a structure of 3 group, coached workouts per week along with additional on-your-own workouts. This program is designed specifically to match your level of fitness and ability.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h1 style="line-height: 21px;"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 26px;"&gt;PROGRAM COMPONENTS:&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/h1&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;3 coached group workouts / week (Wednesday evening track workouts and Saturday and Sunday morning workouts)&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Weekly training program delivered via TrainingPeaks&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Equipment overview, evaluation, and recommendations&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;The opportunity to travel, train, and race with the team&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Clinics that cover topics associated with completing a 70.3 distance triathlon&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Course Preview&lt;/li&gt;

      <title>[Swim] Garfield Masters Swim (Thu, July 09, 2026)</title>

  &lt;p&gt;Join us for a coached set with our swim coach JD at Garfield Pool every Thursday at 5:50pm. Please note the following:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;ul style="font-size: 18px;"&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;This is a coached workout, not a "learn to swim" lesson. You should be able to swim 100 yards continuously at minimum.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Because we only have limited spots, registration will only open on the Monday of the same week as the swim practice.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Please do NOT bring bikes inside building at all.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;All bicycles must remain completely outdoors (including out of any courtyard areas). We are aware these are expensive bikes and often targeted for theft so either use really robust locks or leave them safely locked up elsewhere and travel to the pool by other means.&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Food is prohibited. No food in locker rooms or on deck.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Attendance is limited to active participants and coaches.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;No spectators in the building at this time.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;If it is your first time swimming at Garfield, email swim@ggtc.org or send a message to Jojo on Slack to get information on entrance location, lane assignment, and swim etiquette before showing up.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Please show up at 5:50pm for a prompt 6p workout start time&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;p&gt;We require members with a confirmed registration to show up for Thursday swims. If you have a confirmed swim slot and do not show up (no-show), we’ll ask you to pay $20 into the “swim fund jar” before you can sign up for more swims. If you cancel a confirmed slot anytime on Thursday, we will ask you to pay $10 into the swim fund jar before signing up for more swims.&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;If you have a confirmed Thursday swim registration, show up or cancel by midnight on Wednesday.&lt;/li&gt;

      <title>[Swim] Garfield Masters Swim (Thu, July 16, 2026)</title>

  &lt;p&gt;Join us for a coached set with our swim coach JD at Garfield Pool every Thursday at 5:50pm. Please note the following:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;ul style="font-size: 18px;"&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;This is a coached workout, not a "learn to swim" lesson. You should be able to swim 100 yards continuously at minimum.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Because we only have limited spots, registration will only open on the Monday of the same week as the swim practice.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Please do NOT bring bikes inside building at all.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;All bicycles must remain completely outdoors (including out of any courtyard areas). We are aware these are expensive bikes and often targeted for theft so either use really robust locks or leave them safely locked up elsewhere and travel to the pool by other means.&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Food is prohibited. No food in locker rooms or on deck.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Attendance is limited to active participants and coaches.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;No spectators in the building at this time.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;If it is your first time swimming at Garfield, email swim@ggtc.org or send a message to Jojo on Slack to get information on entrance location, lane assignment, and swim etiquette before showing up.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Whether you're new to the sport or a seasoned athlete looking to get faster and stronger, SDP is for you!&amp;nbsp; Under the guidance of John Dahlz (JD), a veteran triathlon coach and accomplished professional triathlete, the summer SDP will target the Santa Cruz Triathlon on September 27.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The structure of the 10-week program will include two to three coached group workouts per week, along with additional on-your-own workouts. This program is designed specifically to match your level of fitness and ability, with beginner, intermediate, and advanced options available for each workout.&lt;/p&gt;

  &lt;p&gt;Our beloved Tam High pool is closed for renovation over the summer!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

  &lt;p&gt;Join us for a coached set with our swim coach JD at &lt;a href="https://share.google/zX8eAWGIiPLIiVPyl" target="_blank"&gt;St. Ignatius Pool&lt;/a&gt; on Sunday mornings, 8:20am. Please note the following:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;ul style="font-size: 18px;"&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;This is a coached workout, not a "learn to swim" lesson. You should be able to swim 100 yards continuously at minimum.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Because we only have limited spots, registration will only open on the Monday of the same week as the swim practice.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Please do NOT bring bikes inside the building at all.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;All bicycles must remain completely outdoors (including out of any courtyard areas). We are aware these are expensive bikes and often targeted for theft so either use really robust locks or leave them safely locked up elsewhere and travel to the pool by other means.&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Food is prohibited. No food in locker rooms or on deck.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Attendance is limited to active participants and coaches.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;No spectators in the building at this time.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;If it is your first time swimming doing masters, email swim@ggtc.org or send a message to Jojo on Slack to get information on entrance location, lane assignment, and swim etiquette before showing up.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;We’ll head to Aquatic Park, put on our wetsuits, and hop into the water.&amp;nbsp;We'll be swimming both the perimeter as well as the buoy line.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

Join the Zoom call once you arrive to the workout location, and&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;mute yourself&lt;/strong&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;em&gt;If you are unable to join in-person, you can still join the Zoom call on your own or from your trainer.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

It may be dark&lt;/strong&gt;, so please&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;ride with lights&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;(both front and back), and turn them to the solid light mode (not blinking) so you don't blind other riders&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;font face="Barlow Semi Condensed, sans-serif, WaWebKitSavedSpanIndex_0"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;It may be cold&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;so bring layers, gloves, toe covers, and a neck gaiter as needed&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;If there are fewer than 5 registered people on the Sunday before the workout, the workout will be virtual only, meaning Coach Jaffa may not be at the Polo Field. The Zoom with audio cues will still happen.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Time and location are subject to change based on weather and Polo Field availability.       <description>&lt;p&gt;We’ll head to Aquatic Park, put on our wetsuits, and hop into the water.&amp;nbsp;We'll be swimming both the perimeter as well as the buoy line.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This swim does not have a coach or a lifeguard. For information on our swims, &lt;a href="https://ggtc.org/swimming-in-aquatic-park" target="_blank"&gt;check out this page with maps&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Bring friends, snacks, drinks, and anything else you'll need to warm up after!&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>[Swim] Garfield Masters Swim (Thu, July 30, 2026)</title>

  &lt;p&gt;Join us for a coached set with our swim coach JD at Garfield Pool every Thursday at 5:50pm. Please note the following:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;ul style="font-size: 18px;"&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;This is a coached workout, not a "learn to swim" lesson. You should be able to swim 100 yards continuously at minimum.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Because we only have limited spots, registration will only open on the Monday of the same week as the swim practice.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Please do NOT bring bikes inside building at all.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;All bicycles must remain completely outdoors (including out of any courtyard areas). We are aware these are expensive bikes and often targeted for theft so either use really robust locks or leave them safely locked up elsewhere and travel to the pool by other means.&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Food is prohibited. No food in locker rooms or on deck.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Attendance is limited to active participants and coaches.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;No spectators in the building at this time.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;If it is your first time swimming at Garfield, email swim@ggtc.org or send a message to Jojo on Slack to get information on entrance location, lane assignment, and swim etiquette before showing up.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Please show up at 5:50pm for a prompt 6p workout start time&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

If you cancel a confirmed slot anytime on Thursday, we will ask you to pay $10 into the swim fund jar before signing up for more swims.&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;If you have a confirmed Thursday swim registration, show up or cancel by midnight on Wednesday.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;p&gt;Join us for a coached set with our swim coach JD at Garfield Pool every Thursday at 5:50pm. Please note the following:&lt;/p&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;This is a coached workout, not a "learn to swim" lesson. You should be able to swim 100 yards continuously at minimum.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Because we only have limited spots, registration will only open on the Monday of the same week as the swim practice.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Please do NOT bring bikes inside building at all.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;All bicycles must remain completely outdoors (including out of any courtyard areas). We are aware these are expensive bikes and often targeted for theft so either use really robust locks or leave them safely locked up elsewhere and travel to the pool by other means.&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Food is prohibited. No food in locker rooms or on deck.&lt;/li&gt;

      <title>[Swim] Garfield Masters Swim (Thu, August 20, 2026)</title>

  &lt;p&gt;Join us for a coached set with our swim coach JD at Garfield Pool every Thursday at 5:50pm. Please note the following:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;ul style="font-size: 18px;"&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;This is a coached workout, not a "learn to swim" lesson. You should be able to swim 100 yards continuously at minimum.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Because we only have limited spots, registration will only open on the Monday of the same week as the swim practice.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Please do NOT bring bikes inside building at all.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;All bicycles must remain completely outdoors (including out of any courtyard areas). We are aware these are expensive bikes and often targeted for theft so either use really robust locks or leave them safely locked up elsewhere and travel to the pool by other means.&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Food is prohibited. No food in locker rooms or on deck.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Attendance is limited to active participants and coaches.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;No spectators in the building at this time.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;If it is your first time swimming at Garfield, email swim@ggtc.org or send a message to Jojo on Slack to get information on entrance location, lane assignment, and swim etiquette before showing up.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Please show up at 5:50pm for a prompt 6p workout start time&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;p&gt;We require members with a confirmed registration to show up for Thursday swims. If you cancel a confirmed slot anytime on Thursday, we will ask you to pay $10 into the swim fund jar before signing up for more swims.&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;If you have a confirmed Thursday swim registration, show up or cancel by midnight on Wednesday.&lt;/li&gt;
