WOMEN TRI TOGETHER TRAINING PROGRAM (wTT)

2024 WTT Summer Program

Are you a female, gender diverse or non-binary athlete looking to compete is your first triathlon (either a Sprint or Olympic distance)? GGTC’s Women Tri Together (WTT) Training Program may be just the program for you!

Under the guidance of certified triathlon coach Kimi Ueda, WTT is designed specifically for female, gender diverse, and non-binary athletes who have the desire to compete in their first triathlon but feel more confident training with other women who are also new to the sport.

Nearly two decades ago, GGTC began making it easier for women to compete in triathlons by pooling beginner female athletes together and offering a low-cost training option. Today, GGTC is proud to subsidize the cost of WTT for aspiring first-time triathletes, as women remain significantly underrepresented in the sport.*

Our triathlon club’s membership, which is one of the most diverse in the world, reflects our commitment to inclusivity and is strengthened by programs like WTT.

For Summer 2024, the program is targeting the Santa Cruz sprint and olympic distance triathlon on Sunday September 22.

Note that WTT is extremely popular and almost always sells out.

(*While repeating WTT is possible, there is no cost subsidy available for repeat program participants.)

The Following is Included:

  • An 10 week professional training program
  • 2 in person coached workouts per week
  • Guidance/advice on gear selection (e.g. shoes, bikes, wet suits)
  • Coaching on proper swim, bike and run technique
  • Racing and nutrition strategy
  • Integration with existing GGTC group workouts
  • Have fun with a great group of like minded women

Who is this for?

Self-motivated individuals that want to take on the challenge of triathlon training! Ideally you can swim 200 yards, ride a bike and run a few miles.

When will I be working out?

The group meets 2 times per week with additional daily on-your-own workouts loaded into your training plan

Where will I be training?

Workouts will be held in Marin and San Francisco.

What happens if I can't make it to all the workouts?

It would be great if we had enough time in the day to do everything we want and sometimes life gets in the way. You will have access to all the workouts for the program and can do as many or as few of the workouts that fit with your schedule.

What about equipment?

You will need a bicycle and helmet, running shoes, swimsuit, goggles and a wetsuit. If you don't have these things yet, don't worry! The Coach will cover the basics of triathlon equipment in the beginning of the training program.

How do I register if I'm not a member yet?

You'll first purchase GGTC Annual Membership prior here. Then you can register for the program!
