Nicasio via Sir Frances Drake

Type: beginner intermediate

60mi 3300 ft of climb

Start: 9:50am roll 10:00am at the Presidio Sports Basement

This is on the long side for a beginner ride, but if you've done Paradise Loop you can probably do this ride. Pace: Fast on flats, slow on hills.

What hills?

-climb up to the Bridge

-Camino Alto

-Whites Grade

- 2 80ft-200 ft hills into Nicasio.

-All the hills in reverse on the way back.

There will be plenty of stops on this ride. We will regroup at the top of all hills and at major stops. If you are unsure if you can make a 60 mi ride, but would still like to hit a social ride, I encourage you to download the strava map to your GPS device, there are logical turn arounds at:

-The top of Camino Alto ~15 mi total

-Farifax ~40 mi total

-Wood Acre ~50 mi total.

-We will stop for coffee in Farifax and grilled sandwiches in Nicasio.
