36 mile Mt Diablo Bike ride

Hi, please join ambassador Maurizio for a Mt Diablo climb.

This is an advanced/expert ride with 4000 ft elevation (grade 5). Its a 12 mile uphill but very scenic. Total 36 miles. Bring layers, sunscreen, gloves, water, nutrition, repair kit.

We meet at Walnut Creek BART station 8.30 am. There is a BART that leaves 24th St in SF at 7.45 that gets there at 8.30.  Make sure to have time to get your ticket!!

Route: from Walnut Creek BART, via trail parallel to Danville Road we reach the Athenian School, then climb up the South Gate Rd, up summit Road. We descend back the North gate rd. I RECOMMEND SLOW DESCENT as there are multiple hairpin turns that are shared with cars, motorcycles, other bikes: that make the descent a tricky one.
