[Bike] Advanced Mt Diablo Ride: 33+17 miles

Join Ambassador Maurizio for a Mt Diablo outing. We start at BART North Berkeley, go over the Berk. Hills, pick up other members at Orinda BART (~10 mile shorter ride); then ride through Walnut Creek to enter the park at the North gate. It's a steady uphill climb ~12 miles long. Semidrop ride with a total of 5000 ft elevation over 33 miles. From the top of Diablo we descend (CAUTION due to steepness, sharp curves and CARS!) to Walnut Creek BART, a 17 mile mostly downhill ride.

Optional team lunch in Walnut Creek. Return to SF by BART.

This will be HARD. Bring serious nutrition, layers, sunscreen and good judgement on downhills.
