[CANCELED ⚠️ ] Level 2 Handling Clinic: Look ma, no hands!

This clinic is for people who want to feel more comfortable performing tasks on their bike. Being able to bike with just one hand on the handlebars is a critical skill for fueling on the bike, signaling to cars, adjusting gear like glasses, clothing layers, or if you ever want to attempt a flying mount. This is the 2nd of 3 levels of bike handling skills.  In this level, we will cover:

  • Safety: Manual signaling for cars or windy conditions when you can't hear each other
  • Drinking/eating: One-handed biking
  • Grabbing race nutrition from aid stations
Event details:
  • When: 7:30am
  • Where: MLK Dr. near the windmills in Golden Gate park
  • Come prepared: Your bike should be equipped with bottle cages and a bento box if you plan to use one. Bring a water bottle that fits in the bottle cages and nutrition to practice with.
Note: This clinic is limited to 15 people so that instructors can give proper attention and instruction

Sneak peak at the next level:

2/5 Level 3: Getting out of the saddle will take you through a progression to learn how to climb and sprint out of the saddle.
