After being inspired by the T100 Pro's on Saturday morning, join Ambassador Nick M for an advanced ride up Mount Diablo. Yes, it's in the East Bay, but is only a 45 minute BART ride from the city so no excuses*! Jump on the yellow line BART at around 11:30a to start the ride from Walnut Creek BART at around 12:30pm. We'll warm up along the Iron Horse trail and ride to the South Gate before starting the climb up the mountain. The climb itself is 11.1 miles with 3,156' of elevation gain at an average grade of 5.3%.
After summitting, I plan on descending to the north entrance gate before doing another loop or two (because, DeathRide is only a month away...!). Intentionally aiming for the hottest part of the day. There's water at the midway point of the climb and at the top.
Think Green: Public transit and/or carpooling highly encouraged for this ride.

NOTE: This is a semi-drop ride intended to be ridden at an advanced pace. We will stay together until the base and have mini regroup's at the top, but no stopping along the climbs.
Questions? Message Ambassador Nick Molzahn on Slack!
*Fun Fact: Nick lived in Walnut Creek when he first moved to California back in 2015, and took BART to frisbee practice in Daly City 2x a week!!
