[Bike + Ice Cream - Advanced Ride]

Join me, ambassador Guochen, on a journey North "Pie" Northwest...because we're going north and ever so slightly west, and there'll be pie at the end. Also train stations.

Ice Cream and Pie: Noble Folk Ice Cream and Pie Bar

(and lots of other ice cream options in Santa Rosa including Nimble and Finn's)

Main Route:

- Mike's Bikes Sausalito to Santa Rosa + a loop, followed by taking the SMART train from Santa Rosa Downtown back to Larkspur

- meet at Mike's Bike's at 8AM, we'll be leaving shortly after that

- Distance: 67 miles

- Elevation: ~2000 feet

- Drop Factor: drop ride (all riders are expected to be able to navigate the route, be able to fix flats, and have a plan if you get dropped)

- Pace: 18+ mph on the flats

- Route: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1763085844?share_token=abuu6BgvGHp4nGeCLgQ89UPitGa50p0p2T2ZlqpskPOga7e4n7&ref=

- Ride file: 2024-08-05_1763085844_From Sausalito to Santa Rosa.gpx

- SonomaMarinAreaRailTransit Schedule, we'll likely aim for the 2:56 PM departure back to Larkspur, arriving at 4:04 PM, maybe the one before it depending on the ride pace

- one way fare is $6, and they do accept Clipper cards

Alternate Route:

- Skip the loop after arriving at Santa Rosa (-17 miles or so for 50 miles total), and head straight for the pie and ice cream

Things to bring:

- bike, flat repair kit, helmet, nutrition, money for snacks and train transit, and the route ready to go

For fans of the movie:

- no, no espionage skills are required to join on the ride

- if a crop duster flies right above your head, yeah, you should still probably duck
