Golden Gate Triathlon Club is thrilled to be partnering with Death Ride, Tour of the California Alps to bring you this epic training ride. Join us as we tackle one of the Bay Area's most iconic climbs, Mt. Diablo! Each ascent to the summit covers 3440 ft of climbing in 11 miles. Do it once, twice, or all three times!

What to expect:
Please come prepared for this ride! This means sufficient hydration, nutrition, flat kits, and the route! Expect the climb to be warm and for the descent to be chilly. The road will remain open to cars so be mindful and use the bike turnouts! There is a water spigot at the summit to refill, but definitely bring enough food to last you to the top! Each round trip up and down is around 22 miles so plan accordingly.
We will go over safety and the route at the start of the ride and then roll to the park entrance together. From the park entrance, go your own pace for the climbs and try to find folks who are a similar pace to you. Feel free to do however many repeats as you'd like. When you are finished, head back on your own or wait for a group at the North Gate park entrance. We'll likely grab something to eat at Whole Foods at the end of the ride together.
