Join us for observing Fat Bear Week by adventuring over to the East Bay to take on riding in the Berkeley Hills!
Fat Bear Week is the annual competition of bears in Katmai National Park in Alaska, commemorating the nutitional loading the bears do in preparation for hibernation. As triathletes, we love a good caloric story, so these bears hold a special place in our hearts.
To observe this special week, we will have 3 different ride options from which to choose from:
Option 1: The Classic 3 Bears
This will be the classic 3 Bears Loop - nice and rolling terrain in the East Bay Hills.
Option 2: The Golden Bear
Same as Option 1, plus a bonus trip past the campus of UC Berkeley, home of the Golden Bears. We'll spin down through Claremont before a climb up Grizzly Peak
Option 3: The Crazy Bear
Same as Option 2, but an extra bonus trip up to the top of Mount Diablo.
