The COVID-19 pandemic is having a profound effect on our communities, impacting our fellow athletes, neighbors, friends, and family members. In this time of "sheltering in place" it'd be easy to lose motivation, give up training in light of canceled races, and give in to legitimate anxiety about the coming days and weeks. Together, we at Golden Gate Triathlon Club want to rage against that demotivation and anxiety -- and invite everyone to use the quarantine to train even harder, become even stronger, and remind ourselves what we are as triathletes: Resilient, always kind, and never likely to give up.
Pro triathlete and GGTC coach Cesar Valera, known to our members as the coach behind our Half-Ironman Program, has created a custom training plan available to all GGTC members. Join us for a structured program, involving individual runs, group Zwift rides, and open water swims. The plan is available on the popular platform TrainingPeaks. Use this time to become even stronger!
