    Join Bike Director Hannah for a regular Wednesday morning Hawk Hill ride, with optional coffee at Equator in Fort Mason afterwards. Everyone is welcome, there is no set pace - you can go as hard or as easy as you like. We will regroup at the top!

    We meet at the Welcome Center at 6:15am, head up Hawk, look at the view, post pictures of the sunrise on Insta, and then head back over the bridge to a warming cuppa Joe at Equator!

    Join us for our weekly coached swim workouts with Christina Bechtel at Mission Pool.  Please meet on the pool deck before 7PM for practice.

     Open to all abilities and experience levels.  The group is split into 4 lanes starting from beginners to experienced.  Mission pool is outdoors (no need for a wetsuit, just a bathingsuit). Bring a towel and lock if you want to store your stuff.

    Join Ambassador Madi Kirch for a Twin Peaks (plus repeats if you want 'em) sunrise bike ride!

    We will meet at the Whole Foods parking lot on 24th St at 6:15 and roll at 6:20; ride up Clipper Street to Twin Peaks Blvd to the top! ... and then repeat ~4 times or until you have to go home :)

    It will be dark so please make sure you have headlight/tail light!

    Worried about not being able to keep up? Worried about being too fast? DON'T BE! We welcome ALL riders, irrespective of pace and experience, with the group being split accordingly.

    Where: Sports Basement, Presidio
    When: Saturday 23 February at 8am for an 8:15am roll (sharp!)
    Routes: Three variants, according to pace and distance. Please think of Group A as drop/semi-drop with Group C being more casual. Please download these routes and come prepared. 

    Group A: 74mi (4,633ft climbing) -  Sports Basement - Nicasio - Point Reyes loop

    Group B: 54mi (3,691ft climbing) - Sports Basement - Nicasio loop 

    Group C: 26mi (1,554ft climbing) - Sports Basement - Larkspur coffee ride

    PLEASE BRING: Hydration, nutrition, spare tubes, canisters, tire levers, $

    Welcome to GGTC’s Half Ironman Distance training Program! This training program is designed for spring races from late-April, May, and June. This program is designed specifically to match your level of fitness and ability.

    We’re looking for people ready to take on a great journey to complete the IRONMAN 70.3 (also called Half IRONMAN) distance. Racers will swim 1.2 miles, bike 56 miles and run 13.1 miles.

    We'll have representatives from our amazing sponsors joining us, too! And after the workout we'll head across the street to Kezar Pub for dinner and drinks.

    Meet at the Southeast corner of Kezar Stadium on the bleachers for a warm-up and interval workout. There are restrooms available and places to lock your bike if needed.

    Many of us trained for the North Face Endurance Challenge - but missed it due to the fires. Join us as we earn the t-shirts we got and run (jog, walk, sprint) the course (all distances are optional)! We are excited to have an aid station for the half marathon and snacks and beverages post race. 


    Any and Everyone is welcome! Please feel free to invite anyone - the goal is to get dirty and tired, then have a fun time at the finish line. 


    Two routes:

    a. Half marathon route that matches the North Face Endurance Trail Race

    b. 10K route that matches the North Face Endurance Trail Race - runners can choose any distance they would like 


    Saturday, March 2nd

    Half Marathon Start Time: 8:30 am  (8:15 am = a warm up and quick route review)

    If there is a high volume of runners needing a shuttle to the start, there may be two waves of runners for the half marathon. Updates will be sent to everyone that registers, posted here, as well as on Facebook.

    Shuttles to the Half Marathon starting line will meet at the Crissy Field parking lot on Mason and Javowitz St

    For anyone driving to the starting line, shuttles will bring runners back to their vehicles after the race. 

    Please be sure to register so we get an accurate head count for shuttles:

    Sprint and Olympic Distance Training Program by Dahlz Performance Coaching Welcome to GGTC’s 18th year of its Olympic Distance training Program!

    This training program is designed for both Sprint and Olympic distance races in Spring. Primarily at the Monte Rio Triathlon, however races in late-April, May, and June.

    This program is designed specifically to match your level of fitness and ability. John Dahlz, a veteran triathlon coach and accomplished professional triathlete, will lead this ten-week training program along a team of captains and assistants.

    Sprint Distance Racers will swim .5 mile, bike 12.4 miles and run 3.1 miles. Olympic Distance Racers will swim .92 mile, bike 25 miles, and run 6.2 miles. When you cross the finish line you will experience a feeling that is beyond compare!

    2019 W4T Programs

    The combined W4T Sprint/Olympic Training Program will take a group of beginner women to their first Sprint triathlon and intermediate women to their first Olympic triathlon. The training program will begin the week of 8/27 and will train to complete the Monte Rio Triathlon on June 9.

    For women who are new to the sport, the program will prepare you for a 400 yard ocean swim, 8 mile bike and a 3 mile run.

    For women who have either completed a sprint triathlon or have experience in all three disciplines and are looking to go to the Olympic distance and complete a 1,500 meter ocean swim, 25 mile bike and a 6 mile run.

    The Following is Included:

    • An 10 week professional training program
    • Two in person coached workouts per week
    • Other group training opportunities
    • Guidance/advice on gear selection (e.g. shoes, bikes, wet suits)
    • Coaching on proper swim, bike and run technique
    • Racing and nutrition strategy
    • Integration with existing GGTC group workouts
    • Have fun with a great group of like minded women!

    Wildflower is known all over the world for its festival like atmosphere, challenging couses and some of the most energetic collegiate volunteers. It's also been called the "Burning Man of triathlon" 

    GGTC will announce its presence in force in all the race distances. We'll train, carpool, camp and cheer together. Wildflower long course is the target race for the HIT program coached by Cesar Valera.

    Swim in Lady Bird Lake, with the spectacular backdrop of the downtown Austin skyline. The bike heads north to the Texas Capitol, return through the heart of downtown Austin.     Life Time Tri Minneapolis "Race the Lakes"

    Swim in the calm, warm waters of Lake Nokomis. Ride a rolling tour of scenic, tree lined parklands and friendly neighborhoods along the Minnehaha Parkway. The Bike Course is 100% closed to traffic. Finish off by running a gorgeous loop around Lake Nokomis. International distance athletes will complete two loops before finishing, while Sprint athletes complete one.
